Regulations for the keeping of hens

A maximum of 10 hens are permitted per residential lot
Keeping of roosters is prohibited
A hen coop shall be:
- at least 3 metres from the side or rear lot line
- be located in the rear yard
- be a maximum size of 10 m² (108 ft²)
- provide a minimum floor area of .19 m² (2ft²) for each hen
- provide a minimum roofed outdoor enclosure area of .92 m² (10 ft²) for each coop
sale of eggs from a property is prohibited
keep the hens enclosed in the hen coop at all times in the rear yard of the property; unless under owner supervision.
